My name is Ross S. Marshall, and I have spent my life studying, creating, and teaching the art of animation.
Unlike many AI tools created solely by software engineers, the AADS (AI Assistant Animation Director System) was built from decades of real production experience in classical character animation.
Why AADS Exists
After decades in animation, I noticed something missing from today’s AI prompt systems.
Most prompt generators describe what should happen.
Animators think about how it happens.
Great animation depends on:

These principles rarely appear in ordinary AI prompts.
AADS was created to bridge that gap.

The AI Assistant Animation Director System (AADS) is a production methodology that transforms simple scene descriptions into rich, performance-driven animation prompts.
Rather than producing generic instructions, AADS helps creators think like an animation director.
It combines classical animation principles with modern AI tools to produce prompts that emphasize believable acting, expressive motion, clear staging, and stronger storytelling.
